![]() ![]() Slowga and Hastega let you fully control speed, keep your own team fast and the entire team slow, which is really valuable. Time Slip isn't worth 3 slots.Īs you progress into the midgame (around chapter 3, and job levels 5-9), Time Mage starts getting some much stronger options. Slow Parry and M.Atk+10% are okay abilities, nice if you don't have better options. Quake is fine, though a little unremarkable, but you also pick up Quara quickly which is better. Regen is very weak - treat it as Poisona with a minor bonus. Outside of those, Time Mage is mostly just okay. That said Slow + Haste isn't really enough - you won't be able to Haste up your entire team, and Slow alone is often not enough to act first, especially on Hard. ![]() Speed is a very valuable stat to manipulate in Default and Second - if you can guarantee (or near guarantee) your party acts before the enemy, you have a huge amount of extra control over the battle - you can always react to their previous turn before they can take extra actions, and later in the game you can start doing some really broken stuff with skills like Stillness. It's a job with a variety of powerful options throughout both the early-mid and lategame.Įarly game (chapters 1-2, and job levels 1-5), Slow and Haste are of moderate use. Time Mage is indeed a very strong job in Default. ![]()
